Teppanyaki
Do we need a reservation?
It is highly encouraged to secure your seat Monday-Sunday evening.
"My son picked this spot for his birthday dinner, craving that exciting Teppanyaki Gilbert AZ experience with the classic hibachi fire show he loves so much. They open at 5 P.M for dinner We arrived at 5:14 PM on his special day, hoping for a fun family-friendly dining adventure in Gilbert, Arizona. Shockingly, the place was nearly empty—maybe just six people seated total—yet the hostess immediately asked if we had a reservation. I've visited top Teppanyaki restaurants in Gilbert multiple times before without ever needing one for a small group, and there's nothing on their website or Google about requiring reservations when it's not busy. (Google Review)"
***At times it may not look like we're busy; however, the empty tables are reserved &/or we do not have enough chefs to accommodate. Confirming reservations helps us to inform the decision to call in or start scheduling more chefs during weeknights.
We made a reservation, what do you mean we have to wait? As a mom and pop shop, we try to meet a strict schedule with a grace period of 15mins. Average dining time is an hour and a half. Please arrive on-time, notify if you are behind schedule. If party members will be 15mins.+ late, have them phone in their order, so the chef may begin prepping. This is crucial if multiple parties share a table.
Why can't we have our own table?
This dining experience is designed around social, communal seating and high-capacity stations. To ensure your own table, we require a party of 8.
How does tipping work?
A percentage is shared with all front & back-of-house chefs. For your unique experience with the teppanyaki chef, tipping separately is welcomed. Available options: Cash, notating on receipt (ie., chef: $__ / server: $__), and Venmo.
Can we request a chef?
Upon making a reservation, we will make a note and do our best to accommodate.
***All chefs are available Friday & Saturday. Weekdays differ.
"I'm not that hungry, can I order off of the kids menu?"
If you are not 12 years of age or younger, no. You may either share with a loved one, or order a side of fried rice. We understand you may have ordered appetizers and sushi, so we encourage you to request our Split Plate option - for an additional $10, you and another party will share the protein(s) of your choice and each receive the following sides: soup, salad, rice, veggies, and two pieces of shrimp
Can we substitute the soup and/or salad for more rice or veggies?
No. May we offer you double soup, or double salad?
What if we have an allergy?
Come as you are and clue in the server :) We take extra precautions to whatever allergy you may have (gluten, peanut, dairy, shellfish, onion, etc.).
Do you do anything special for birthdays?
We'll accompany you with singing and a sweet treat of ice cream.
Do you have a senior menu?
At this time, no. We have extra side plates, though!
Do you add gratuity?
Our ecosystem splits tips with our front and back of house teammates, parties of 6 or more will receive a gratuity.
